Last week while I was on a break from helping to form lives of significance and service, I read a copy of the Wall Street Journal and couldn’t help but be a discouraged about the financial mess that we’re in. I was even more discouraged because this month in chapel we are talking about money and how God calls us to be generous and I must admit it just seemed like the wrong time to come up with that message.
However, the more I prayed and the more I read the Bible the more I realized that generosity is for times of need as much as for times of surplus. In fact, generosity during a time of drought may just be the most profound witness to a God who can provide for all of our needs. Join us in chapel this morning as we look into some principles for giving and our call to a generous life.
Welcome back,
Pastor Judy
